This week the Ransom Center at the University of Texas in Austin opened its Pale King holdings to researchers. The Pale King: An Unfinished Novel by David Foster Wallace Penguin, 2011. If a book has received more ink or been more anticipated in recent times I can't recall it. After learning so much about Wallace and reading Pietsch's Editor's Note, I think I may have changed my mind about the answer to this question.
